Network Architect

Network ArchitectWe are seeking a highly experienced Network Architect to lead the design, transformation, and governance of enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises data centers, manufacturing facilities, and cloud environments. The architect will be responsible for defining the strategic network roadmap, driving modernization initiatives, ensuring secure and resilient connectivity, and supporting large-scale global operations. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Juniper networking, enterprise routing and switching, AWS networking, Velo Cloud SD-WAN, network security, and hybrid cloud architecture.Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Architecture & StrategyDesign and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, Data Center, Cloud networking and Juniper network architectures.Develop network standards, policies, and best practices.Lead network modernization initiatives such as SD-WAN, Zero Trust, Cloud Networking, BlueCat DDI internal & external DNS and Automation.Provide architectural guidance for routing, switching, wireless, security, and hybrid-cloud environments.Collaborate with security, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams.Evaluate and recommend emerging networking technologies.Perform capacity planning, network performance analysis, and optimization.Lead major migration, integration, and transformation projects.Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and operational requirements.Create and maintain architecture documents, network diagrams, and technical standards.Provide technical leadership and mentoring for engineering and operations teams.Act as the escalation point for complex network issues and RCA activitiesDefine and maintain enterprise network architecture standards, reference designs, and technology roadmaps.Lead network transformation initiatives supporting business growth, operational efficiency, and technology modernization.Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend future-state network solutions.Establish architecture governance and design review processes.Routing & Switching ArchitectureDesign, implement, and optimize large-scale enterprise routing and switching environments.Architect highly available network solutionsEnsure network resiliency, scalability, and business continuity through redundant design principles.Juniper Network SolutionsServe as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Juniper platforms and technologies.Drive standardization and optimization of Juniper infrastructure globally.Network Security ArchitectureDevelop secure network designs aligned with enterprise cybersecurity standards.Integrate: Palo Alto Firewalls, Juniper SRX Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Network Segmentation, Zero Trust Architecture, Zscaler Connectivity(ZIA and ZPA), Clear Pass NACCollaborate with security teams on compliance and risk mitigation initiatives.SD-WAN & Global ConnectivityDesign and optimize SD-WAN solutions supporting global locations.Improve WAN performance, application experience, and cloud access.Lead carrier and connectivity evaluations.Technical LeadershipProvide architectural leadership across global infrastructure teams.Mentor L2/L3 engineers and technical leads.Support major incidents, problem management, root cause analysis, and service improvement initiatives.Work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and service providers.Location: Saint Paul, MN
