Job Description:

Unloads and breaks down freight (eg. trucks, trailers, rail cars, etc)

Sorts and organizes freight

Operate various types of material handling equipment (forklift, electric pallet jacks, order selectors)

Operate warehouse machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures. (eg. bailers, trash compactors, shrink wrappers, etc.)

Pick, scan, sort and label.

Identify unusable pallets

Basic ability to read, count and use RF Scanner technology (training provided)

Select and scan items using RF Scanner for accuracy.

Maintains work area in a clean and hazard free condition

Pay Range: $20.50 - $20.50 per hour

Pay Scale: Not applicable

Job Requirements:

6 months warehouse experience (preferred but willing to train)

Work in a physically demanding warehouse environment – continuously lifting and moving up to 50lbs

Ability to operate material handling equipment preferred (ie electric pallet jack, forklift, order selector)

Meet fast-paced productivity goals and standards

Excellent customer service required

Overtime/Weekends will be required during peak/seasonal volumes

Ability to work in various climate conditions (potentially including cooler/freezers)

Reliable transportation with the ability to arrive on time

Standing/climbing 8 to 10 hours per day

Effective communication skills

Safety shoes are required

Other duties as assigned
