Maintenance Technician

Candlewood Suites - Louisville Fair/Expo is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Louisville, KY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of the hotel’s facilities and equipment to provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify issues and implement timely solutions.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including supplies and repairs completed.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed to complete specialized repairs or installations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down for events and conventions held at the property.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, equipment, tools, and safety protocols.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification a plus.
