Construction LaborerTo provide general construction labor tasks, in an efficient and safe manner, as part of a welding crew to erect precast concrete panels.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Completes general construction labor tasks necessary to weld precast concrete panelsTakes work direction from detail or erection crew forepersonMay perform work of a miscellaneous nature as directed by forepersonUses materials/supplies in an efficient mannerHandles equipment in a responsible mannerFollows established safety procedures and policiesBasic Qualifications:Welder experienceOther Required Qualifications:Ability to carry out simple and complex verbal instructionsAbility to work well with others and maintain professional conduct at all timesAbility to work from heights, including but not limited to ladders and aerial work platformsAbility to obtain membership to a local unionGeneral knowledge of construction practicesValid driver's license and reliable means of transportationAbility to travel extensively, up to 50% or more, including occasional overnight travel, and to work hours outside the standard schedule as neededPreferred Qualifications:2+ years of construction or manual labor experienceHigh school diploma or equivalentCertified Welder (AWS, 3g & 4g)Physical Requirements:Field: Must be able to traverse uneven ground, move minimum of 50lbs., spatial awareness/depth perception, climb on a flatbed semi-trailer.Work Environments:Field: All types of weather conditions (year-round, Mid-west and Northeast), dirt/dust, noise from heavy machinery/vehiclesEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
