Your day to day as a Home Care Aide

As a Home Care Aide at Palolo Chinese Home, you will play a crucial role in providing Quality home care to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. What you need to be successful

To excel as a Home Care Aide at Palolo Chinese Home, candidates must possess a diverse set of skills and qualifications. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and team members. The role demands providing both physical and emotional care to the elderly and disabled, requiring a compassionate and empathetic approach. Successful candidates will exhibit autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in fulfilling job responsibilities.

A valid Hawaii driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary for traveling to different work sites. Additionally, a high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with current CPR and First Aid certifications. Candidates must hold a Nurse Aide certification and ideally have at least 6 months of healthcare experience, with prior home care experience being advantageous.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English to facilitate proper communication with others

Must be able to provide physical and emotional care to the aged and disabled

Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities

Valid Hawaii driver's license required

Must have reliable means to arrive at work sites and destinations

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must have current CPR and First Aid.

Nurse Aide certification required

At least 6 months of experience in healthcare or home care experience preferred
