Full Stack Developer

Job Description

JSW Steel USA is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our IT team in Baytown, Texas. This position offers the opportunity to develop new software solutions, modernize existing applications, and support technology initiatives that drive our daily operations and long-term business goals. The ideal candidate has a strong background in both front-end and back-end development, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and can collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable software. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and deploy software across modern web and existing client-server applications. Collaborate with end users and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop solutions, and release new features. Maintain and enhance existing applications, troubleshoot defects, and improve system performance. Develop and maintain functional and technical documentation. Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack, from the user interface to the database. Review proposed solutions and code to ensure quality, security, and adherence to development standards. Train and mentor other developers by sharing technical knowledge and best practices. Support additional projects and team initiatives as needed. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Proficiency in Python scripting and automation. Strong SQL skills, including writing queries, developing stored procedures, and optimizing database performance. Experience maintaining and enhancing legacy applications. Knowledge of Linux server administration and Cron job scheduling. Experience writing clean, secure, maintainable, and well-documented code using version control tools such as Git. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
