Job Description

Data Analyst – OEWSWe are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support the Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) survey. This temporary position will work directly with HR and payroll professionals to collect employment and wage information, accurately enter data, and match employer-specific job titles to standardized occupational classifications.This is a great opportunity for someone with a combination of call center, administrative, data entry, and customer service experience who is comfortable conducting professional outbound outreach.Key ResponsibilitiesContact HR and payroll departments by phone and email to collect employment and wage dataConduct outbound calls and identify the appropriate company contacts and decision makersExplain the purpose of the OEWS survey and answer general questions regarding the data collection processCommunicate privacy and data protection requirements professionallyReview employer job titles and match positions to the appropriate Standard Occupational Classification (SOC)Accurately enter wage, employment, and position information into the designated systemReview information for completeness and accuracySend individual follow-up emails to employer contactsAssist with program-driven bulk email campaigns reaching multiple organizationsMaintain accurate contact and outreach informationFollow established procedures for handling confidential employment and wage dataRequirementsMinimum 1 year of call center experienceMinimum 1 year of administrative experienceComfortable making outbound calls and speaking with HR, payroll, and business professionalsStrong data entry and computer skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyProfessional verbal and written communication skillsAbility to learn job classification systems and follow established guidelinesComfortable working independently and managing multiple contacts and follow-upsAbility to handle confidential information appropriatelyPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience working with a State agency or government programExperience with data collection, surveys, records, payroll, HR, or similar administrative functionsExperience with bulk email campaigns or automated email systemsWork ScheduleHybrid. Training will be conducted onsite.
