We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to set up and operate manual lathes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on machining parts to precise specifications, using precision measuring tools, and consistently upholding safety and quality standards. The Machine Operator will play a key role in supporting production efficiency and continuous improvement while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Work Environment
This is a first-shift position, working Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The role is based in a clean, old-school machine shop environment alongside laborers and other machinists. Each Machine Operator has their own work space that they can personalize while maintaining safety and organization. The shop provides all necessary tools and equipment, including manual lathes, measuring instruments, hoists, cranes, and related machining tools. Work involves standing for a significant portion of the day and handling materials up to 40 pounds, in a setting that emphasizes safety, craftsmanship, and teamwork.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Itasca, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
