Job Description

We are representing a growing, multi-entity organization in the Healthcare industry. Our client is looking for a hands-on Controller to manage day-to-day accounting and provide clear financial insights to leadership. This is a full-time, in-office role that involves overseeing financial records across multiple entities, producing accurate reports, and keeping processes running smoothly.

The right candidate can work both strategically and practically, owning the books, improving systems, ensuring compliance, and delivering numbers leadership can trust. Proficiency with QuickBooks, and a solid understanding of accounting principles are required, along with strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Financial Records & QuickBooks : Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records across multiple entities using QuickBooks; ensure all transactions are properly documented.

Accounts Payable & Receivable : Process AP/AR, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations; manage vendor relationships.

Bank Reconciliation & Cash Management : Reconcile bank statements, monitor cash flow, and prepare forecasts.

Financial Reporting & Close : Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review; oversee month-end close.

Budgeting & Forecasting : Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis; provide actionable insights to leadership.

Payroll & Labor Costs : Oversee payroll, tips, and labor cost tracking; ensure compliance with wage regulations.

Cost Control & Process Improvement : Track expenses, inventory, and margins; collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and implement policies and SOPs.

Audit, Tax & Regulatory Compliance : Conduct regular audits, support tax preparation, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Must-Have Qualifications

Hands-on technical Controller experience

Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO)

Experience in Restaurant, Hospitality, or Healthcare accounting

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles

7–10 years of accounting experience, preferably multi-entity

Collaborative and adaptable team player

Straightforward communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment
