Job Description

Procurement AssistantMaddox Industrial Group (MIG) provides specialized cryogenic and mechanical services for air separation/cryogenic systems, industrial process piping, fabrication, installation, construction, maintenance, confined space rescue for air separation, wastewater/water treatment, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, chemical, and other process industries.MIG is a part of the TransTech family of businesses. TransTech is a leading provider of engineered equipment and solutions for processing, storing, distributing, and utilizing a wide variety of liquids and gases in the energy, renewables, chemical, and industrial end markets.The Procurement Assistant will support the procurement team with purchasing materials, coordinating deliveries, preparing purchase orders, tracking vendor compliance, and maintaining records. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth operations by helping secure the materials and services needed to meet project deadlines and company standards.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in sourcing materials, equipment, and subcontracted services for construction projects.Prepare and issue Requests for Quotes (RFQs), purchase orders (POs), and procurement documents.Track orders to ensure on-time delivery and assist with expediting when necessary.Maintain accurate procurement logs, spreadsheets, and vendor files.Help perform vendor pre-qualification, collect insurance certificates, and track compliance documentation.Support regular communication between Project Managers, Superintendents, Supply Chain Manager, and vendors regarding procurement status.Work with Accounts Payable and Project Controls to verify invoices, delivery tickets, and purchase order reconciliations.Help manage procurement reporting and updates for ongoing projects.Assist in handling changes, returns, or warranty claims with suppliers as needed.Perform other administrative and procurement-related duties as assigned.Competencies:Required:Basic understanding of purchasing processes, supplier communications, and material tracking.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Good communication skills, both verbal and written.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.Preferred:Familiarity with purchase order systems, ERP, or project management software.Knowledge of construction materials and supplies a plus.Education:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience also considered.1–3 years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or administrative support experience, ideally in the construction or industrial sector.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits Designed to Work for You:Free HSA health plan or traditional PPO401(k) with generous company match (Safe Harbor)Dental, vision, and optional coverage like accident & critical illness insuranceHSA and FSA accounts to save on healthcare costsCompany-paid Life, Long Term Disability, and AD&D insuranceConfidential support for mental health, family matters, legal concerns, and more through our Employee Assistance ProgramDiscounts on gyms, shopping & entertainmentHealth benefits kick in fast – first of the month after 30 daysThis organization provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
