This is a hands-on senior role where you'll be responsible for the design and implementation of embedded software designs across our product families.Responsibilities:Design and implement high-performance embedded software for software-defined radio platformsDevelop low-level software and firmware interfaces for complex RF hardwareLead firmware/software integration effortsSupport full system integration, testing, and validation through deploymentWork full-time on-site in our office in Los Angeles (Hawthorne), CaliforniaMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field10+ years of professional embedded software development experienceStrong experience with Linux embedded development and device driversProficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems and real-time programmingPython experience for scripting, automation, and system integration tasksExperience with real-time operating systems and bare-metal programmingExperience developing software for ARM-based embedded platformsExperience developing embedded software for software-defined radios and/or radio transceiver chipsExperience with modern software development practices (Git, CI/CD, automated testing)Familiarity with Agile development methodologiesAbility to work with minimal supervision and collaborate on small teamsU.S. Person status is required as this position will require the ability to access U.S.-only data systemPreferred Requirements:Current or previous DoD security clearanceExperience with Analog Devices RF transceiversExperience with the Linux IIO frameworkExperience integrating with AMD/Xilinx FPGAs, Nvidia GPUs, and other heterogeneous computing architecturesExperience implementing and optimizing low-latency, high-throughput signal processing algorithmsFPGA development experience (VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog)Hardware-in-the-loop testing and validationExperience with production-level software development & deployment, including DevOps and CI/CDExperience with full lifecycle SW development of high-TRL systemsExperience with HW/SW I&T and V&V of high-TRL systemsWhy CHAOS?Health Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision benefits 100% paid for by the companyAdditional benefits: 401k (+ 50% company match up to 6% of pay), FSA, HSA, life insurance, and moreOur Perks: Free daily lunch, 'No meeting Fridays', unlimited PTO, casual dress codeCompensation Components: Competitive base salaries, generous pre-IPO stock option grants, relocation assistance, and (coming soon!) annual bonusesTeam Growth: 400+ employees and counting across 5 global officesSalary Range: $160,000 - $240,000The stated compensation range reflects only the targeted base compensation range and excludes additional earnings such as bonus, equity, and benefits.
