Molding Process TechnicianMolding shift processor will oversee daily production schedules. Molding Shift Processor is responsible for maintaining production cycle, overseeing temperatures and timing per scientific molding processes. This role is also responsible for ensuring efficiency of process and meeting quality specifications set forth by customer requirements.POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Promote and maintain an atmosphere of cooperation among and between shifts, tool room, quality control, and management to facilitate production goals.Work with Department Manager, operators, and production scheduler to assign jobs and meet production demand.Train and assist machine operators.Establish proper molding conditions including safety requirements.Eliminate production of defective parts and products.Ensures appropriate production rate to reduce delivery delays.Performs other related duties as assignedCoordinates with maintenance or tooling to repair equipment issues.All other duties assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESDirects and oversees the production floor and staffConducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructiveResponsible for providing OJT and procedural training.Handles discipline of employees in accordance with company policyQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredAt least three years of relevant experience preferredKNOWLEDGEAbility to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentationAbility to help the production team achieve required production targetOptimum utilization of resourcesUnderstanding of quality product requirementsComputer skillsBasic mathematicsSKILLS & ABILITIESConduct tests and inspections of productsTroubleshoots throughout the molding process to ensure maximum machine utilizationStrong work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to follow through on all tasksWork within a team environment and demonstrate professional behaviorReliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligationsExtensive knowledge of manufacturing requirements and planningStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsWORK ENVIRONMENT:Exposed to work in manufacturing /machining area settings with exposure to oil, coolant, and metal residuesIntermittent exposure to sounds or noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortablePrimarily requires sitting but at times, requires long periods of standingWork is completed in a manufacturing facility requiring appropriate protective equipment at all timesPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Physical ability to operate and repair machinesLift and carry a maximum of 45 poundsWear protective eyewear and/or other protective gear correctlyPeriods of standing, sitting, walking, reaching, crouching, climbing, twisting, lifting and pushingOTHER REQUIREMENTSOccasional travel to training seminars, compliance workshops, or sister facilities.Flexibility to work outside standard hours, including evenings or weekends, as required by operational needs.Key Skills requiredInjection molding machine setup and operation knowledge with Nissei, Cincinnati Milacron, and ArburgPLC knowledge with Allen-Bradley and ArburgMold startup and shutdown proceduresScientific molding principles such as Routsis and RJG Master MolderSetting and adjusting processing parameters such as:TemperaturePressureInjection speedHold pressureCooling timeUnderstanding of mold design and functionalityResin Knowledge such as:NylonRadelPPSABS
