Built as a family business, we are continuing to grow and are looking for motivated and reliable associates to help in our mission of Bringing Chocolate to Life!Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide financial analysis and guidance for the General Manager and leadership team at the siteOversee the plant's inventory controls, month end reporting, and count reconciliations.Prepare the weekly company-wide payroll journal entries in conjunction with the HR payroll department.Prepare reports on plant performance in areas of income, expenses, earnings monthlyMonitor and report on cash flow performance and oversee capital expenditure requirementsPrepare journal entries and account reconciliations monthly, including complex correcting journalsManage and execute all manufacturing accounting processes for location, ensure month end close process are completed timely and in adherence with accepted accounting proceduresManage, perform, and interpret data analytics to assist in business decisionsActively participate in cost avoidance and cost reduction efforts for business unitReview AP/AR transactions to ensure accuracy of posting journalsMaintain secure control of accounting-related documents such as invoices, checks, journal entries and financial statementsPoint of contact for external auditorsCollaborate with other plant accounting teams and assist with standardization within the plant accounting functions.Responsible for managing and leading the Senior Staff Accountants on the team, ensuring proper cross-training.Operate within the core values of respect and care for others.Note: The employer reserves the right to change or assign other duties to this positionPhysical Requirements:General office environment with majority of time using computerMinimal travel requiredSafety, Quality and Hygiene Requirements:Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and code of conductComply with workplace uniform requirements and safety gear, when on the plant floor v. officePerformance Expectations:Ability to prioritize work with minimal supervisionAbility to think strategically and creatively to develop new ideas and solutionsEffectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environmentComplete the timely and accurate completion of month-end, year-end and ad hoc financial reporting and analysisComply with all safety and quality policies and procedures.Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and Code of ConductEffectively communicate with peers and team, and display leadership skills that empowers and builds a positive team culture.Skills and Work Experience Requirements:10+ years of financial analysis and leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing environmentSAP S/4 HANA experience preferredProficient in Microsoft Office suite with strong excel skills and ability to create spreadsheetsExcellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of organizationStrong business and financial acumen – ability to see the big picture and details that support itAttention to detail and high organization skillsEducation:Bachelor's degree in accounting or financeCPA or MBA preferredCareer Progression:Employees are encouraged to express interest in internal career opportunities throughout BlommerExpectations for promotion or job role change are driven by proficiency and performance in current roleCareer progression would align to financial leadership rolesA reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at the time of posting is below.
