Controller

A growing organization is seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations and serve as a key member of the leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will oversee financial reporting, accounting processes, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, compliance, and a small accounting team.

This is a hands‑on leadership position for a finance professional who can strengthen processes, improve controls, provide strategic financial insight, and support operational decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting functions including AP, AR, general ledger, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.

Lead and support accounting team members.

Maintain and improve accounting systems, policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Manage cash flow, vendor payments, collections, and financial reporting.

Provide financial analysis and recommendations to executive leaders.

Support audits, tax requirements, and regulatory compliance.

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Oversee operational finance activities including assets, fleet, and facilities.

Qualifications

7–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA or CMA preferred.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Experience leading accounting teams and improving processes.

Advanced Excel and accounting software skills.

Manufacturing, construction, or operational business experience preferred.
