A well-established engineering consulting firm specializing in municipal and public sector infrastructure projects is seeking an experiencedConstruction Inspector to join its office. This role is ideal for professionals with highway or public infrastructure inspection experience who enjoy working in the field and ensuring construction projects are completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Perform field inspections on public infrastructure and construction projects to verify compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and contract requirements.
Monitor contractor activities and document daily construction progress.
Prepare detailed daily reports, field notes, and inspection documentation.
Identify construction deficiencies and communicate findings to project stakeholders.
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, municipalities, and project teams to resolve field issues.
Review materials, workmanship, and construction methods to ensure quality standards are met.
Conduct field visits throughout the local service area.
Qualifications
NICET Level II Certification in Highway Construction is required.
2-5 years of construction inspection experience on municipal or public sector projects.
Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and inspection procedures.
Excellent written documentation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a field environment.
