Sr Network Engineer

Description

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements

10+ years of demonstrated network engineering and architecture experience designing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting complex enterprise networks.

5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco routing, switching, and firewall platforms (e.g., ISR, ASR, CSR, ASA, Nexus, TACACS/ISE).

Strong knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, GRE, IPsec, VRF).

Solid understanding of MPLS, DMVPN, and SD-WAN technologies.

Proficiency with routing/switching, firewalls, load balancers, and proxy servers.

High-level architectural and operational experience supporting complex networks.

Experience facilitating network requirements sessions.

Experience with network monitoring and management tools.

Ability to create and update network diagrams (Visio).

Previous experience supporting federal networks is a plus.

Experience producing design documentation, diagrams, and engineering artifacts.

Must be resourceful and able to learn a large, complex and evolving network.

Education

BA / BS (relevant field); relevant IT experience may be a substitute for education.

Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP

Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer / Administrator, F5

Software/Hardware Desired

Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams)

Experience with creating network diagrams in MS Visio
