Armed Security OfficerMeritus Solutions Group is seeking professional Armed Security Officers to support U.S. Naval infrastructure operations at Naval Base Kitsap (NBK).Armed Security Officers are responsible for protecting personnel, facilities, equipment, and critical infrastructure while supporting force protection and security operations throughout the installation.Officers must demonstrate proficiency in federal security procedures, access control operations, armed response protocols, mobile patrol operations, and Random Antiterrorism Measures (RAMs).This position requires professionalism, sound judgment, physical fitness, and the ability to operate within a highly structured military security environment.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesControl access to secured and restricted areasConduct Entry Control Point (ECP) operationsPerform armed alarm responsesConduct mobile security patrols and security inspectionsSupport Random Antiterrorism Measures (RAMs)Protect personnel, government property, and critical infrastructureRespond to emergencies and security incidentsComplete accurate reports, logs, and required documentationEnforce federal regulations, installation policies, and post ordersMaintain proficiency with assigned weapons and security equipmentPerform additional duties as assigned by contract leadershipMinimum QualificationsBe a U.S. CitizenPossess or be able to maintain a Secret Security ClearanceBe at least 21 years of agePossess a minimum of two (2) years of security experienceSuccessfully pass:Comprehensive background investigationMMPI psychological evaluationMedical evaluationDrug screeningPhysical Readiness Test (PRT)Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluentlyBe capable of preparing accurate written reportsPhysical Readiness Test Requirements1.5-mile run in 17 minutes and 30 seconds or less19 push-ups within 2 minutesEducation RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredDD214 (if prior military service)Required Certifications & TrainingValid Driver's License160-Hour Naval Security Guard Training Course (NSGTC)CPR / First Aid / AEDM4 Rifle QualificationM18 Pistol QualificationBaton (MEB)OC Spray CertificationHandcuff CertificationCompensationBase Pay - $36.42/hourFull-Time Health & Welfare Benefit - $6.50/hourTotal Hourly Compensation - $42.92/hourShift DifferentialsSwing Shift - +$0.40/hourGraveyard Shift - +$1.00/hourEffective October 1, 2025.BenefitsMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsurancePrescription Drug Coverage401(k) Retirement PlanLife InsuranceBenefits eligibility is subject to plan requirements and employment status.Work ScheduleSchedules vary based on operational and mission requirements.Assignments may include:8-hour shifts10-hour shifts12-hour shiftsDay shiftsSwing shiftsOvernight shiftsWeekendsHolidaysOvertime as requiredFull-time officers must maintain availability to support mission-critical operations.Work LocationNaval Base Kitsap (NBK) Washington StateThis position is fully on-site.
