Data Center Capacity & Network Manager

Job Description

Summary: Meta is hiring a Data Center Capacity and Support Manager to lead the deployment of hyperscale data centers. This central role leads a team of network engineers and coordinates with partners, vendors, and managed service providers to ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner. The manager will build and scale the team, focusing on ownership, speed, quality, and efficiency. Responsibilities include hands-on technical contributions, including design, deployment, and troubleshooting, demonstrating domain expertise and technical impact.

Required Skills: Data Center Capacity & Network Manager Responsibilities: Manage the deployment, configuration, and ongoing support of large-scale network infrastructure across data centers and global regions

Act as the escalation point for technical issues, providing hands-on support and guidance to resolve complex problems swiftly

Develop and maintain relationships with partner teams, vendors, and managed service providers

Collaborate with engineering, data center, backbone, AI, and equipment vendors to integrate new technologies and drive innovation

Ensure that project timelines for network turn-ups are met, and ensure that all milestones are met

Drive deployment quality assurance by performing field walks, managing ENS Network Readiness Checklists, running audits, and ensuring every build meets data center standards

Distribute the deployment workload among team members based on projections, OKRs, and KPIs across skill sets and priorities

Drive operational efficiency across policies, processes, and procedures with a focus on standards compliance across the network

Identify root causes in complex systems and implement process enhancements and automation solutions

Contribute to the standardization and best practices of design, testing, and implementation of scalable network solutions. Serve as the primary relationship owner for all technical contractors (TCs) and managed service providers (MSPs) in region

Oversee the site's financial forecasts, budgets, and controls for network build and operations

Lead by example and build team cohesion and collaboration across regions to ensure alignment with organizational priorities

Provide mentorship, coaching, and career development to team members

Minimum Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in network engineering in large-scale data center network deployments, including hands-on responsibility for planning, building, or migrating production networks

Experience with network incident management, change control processes, and operational tooling for monitoring and alerting in enterprise environments

Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners including facilities, real estate, and infrastructure teams to deliver network services on time and at scale

Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience managing / leading network engineering teams involved with large-scale network and wireless deployment programs across multiple physical sites, including hiring, performance management, and team development

Experience in large-scale network platforms designed for massive scale, high-bandwidth, and ultra-low latency

Knowledge of various scripting languages and/or programming language principles

Familiar with packet-based switching, optimized for AI traffic

Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)

Public Compensation: $162,000/year to $227,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
