Materials Handler

Material HandlerKey Responsibilities:The Material Handler ensures materials are properly staged, prepared, and ready for distribution by performing the following tasks:Material Preparation & Staging: Deburring, packing, export preparation, receiving, and shipping.Order Fulfillment: Pulls material from stock to fill sales orders accurately.Verification & Documentation: Verifies materials, packs for shipment, and records necessary information on sales orders.Equipment Operation: Safely operates powered industrial equipment (i.e. combilift, side loader, forklift) to move and stage materials.Housekeeping: Maintains a clean and organized work area to support efficient operations.Qualifications:Experience: 1–3 months of related experience or training preferred.Equipment Skills: Ability to learn and safely operate powered industrial equipment.Measurement Skills: Proficient in reading tape measures, micrometers, and other measuring devices.Math Skills: Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.Technical Skills: Willingness to learn and navigate an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.Problem-Solving: Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and apply logical problem-solving skills.Physical Demands:Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, and kneel as required throughout the shift.Frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs.; occasionally lift and move up to 100 lbs. with assistance.Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception, with or without corrective lenses.Work in a warehouse setting with moving equipment, varying temperatures, dust, and noise.PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe shoes required.About Us:We offer a full comprehensive benefits program, which includes medical, dental, vision, company paid life insurance, short and long-term disability, paid vacation, PTO, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, among other competitive benefits.TW Metals, LLC. is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
