As a hardware company, we prefer in-person work at our factory in Torrance, CA, but are open to exceptional remote candidates willing to regularly travel for work. You'll report to the Director of Software and work closely with a lean, high-trust team where everyone's work matters.What You'll DoDesigning, building, testing, and deploying customer facing applications including the boat infotainment systems, mobile app, and website across frontend, backend, and infraWorking closely with our product team to develop boundary-pushing user experiencesDeveloping internal tools to improve our manufacturing processesIdentifying opportunities to use software to accelerate the company's trajectoryMinimum Qualifications6+ years of industry experience that covers both frontend and backendStrong grasp of the fundamentals of software engineering and passion for developing high quality, maintainable softwareExcellent interpersonal skills in both written and verbal mediaBonus QualificationsAppreciation for customer-driven products and beautiful designPrior experience with Typescript, Python, and/or RustPrior experience with Amazon Web Services and/or Google Cloud PlatformPrior experience with software in a hardware domain, such as embedded devices, mobile apps, IoT, and/or infotainment systemsComfortable pushing an fast but sustainable paceEnthusiasm for boating and clean energyAt Arc, we encourage diversity and consider all qualified applicants equally for employment, regardless of background, identity, or status.
