Construction Manager

Job Description

CONSTRUCTION MANAGERIs your CV ready If so, and you are confident this is the role for you, make sure to apply asap.Join a real estate private equity firm with a nationwide portfolio and play a hands-on role shaping high-impact construction and renovation projects. We're looking for a driven Construction Manager to support our Philadelphia investment team and oversee project execution across our holdings—office, retail, industrial, and multifamily. You'll own scopes, budgets, schedules, and partner coordination from start to finish in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where initiative and follow-through matter. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with investments, leasing, and senior leadership, and you'll see your work directly improve asset performance and tenant experience. Must be willing to travel ~60% out of state.Duties and ResponsibilitiesOwn construction and renovation scopes and specifications for new and existing assetsPartner with Capital Markets on acquisitions and with Leasing on new deals and renewals to support timely tenant deliveryReview and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications to guide executionReview tenant drawings, provide timely comments, and support approvals through closeoutPerform pre-construction planning, scheduling, and cost controlPrepare scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates and budgets, cash flow projections, work plans and schedules, project milestones, quality control measures, and risk identificationSource, evaluate, and select contractors through a competitive bid processPartner with local municipalities to secure permits and coordinate inspectionsInterface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clientsCommunicate with owners, architects, and subcontractors regarding project risks, schedules, budgets, and change managementLead projects through regular site visits, tracking progress, resolving issues, and driving on-time, on-budget deliveryManage pay applications, draw requests, and change orders with a detail-oriented, controls-driven approachMaintain organized, audit-ready construction documentation in accordance with company policies and proceduresCommunicate project updates, risks, and recommendations to senior leadershipCommunicate with all departments to achieve goalsTake on additional projects and priorities as assignedCritical Qualifications and SkillsBachelor's degree xhyhwjd (Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred)5+ years of construction experience (real estate investment firm and/or national service provider experience a plus)Strong judgment and problem-solving skills; comfortable working independently and as part of a teamClear, confident communicator (written, verbal, and interpersonal)Ability to manage multiple projects at once and deliver results under tight deadlinesProven negotiation skills and vendor-management experienceStrong Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word)A proactive, "roll-up-your-sleeves" mindset and the desire to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentIf you're excited by ownership, variety, and seeing projects through from concept to completion, we'd like to hear from you.
