Standard Job Description

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced CNC programmer in Grand Prairie, TX. This candidate will join a collaborative team supporting a rapidly growing shop and will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs that enable high quality, on-time production.

Responsibilities include:

Develop new CNC machining processes and program parts to meet design specifications

Analyze engineering drawings and determine the appropriate machine, machining strategy, cutting tools and parameters, and work holding strategy

Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions

Analyze and improve existing programs to increase efficiency and reduce scrap

Research, test and implement new machining technology, cutters and equipment

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of NC programming experience using a CAM package

Proven process improvement and problem solving experience

Deep understanding of cutting tools and effective machining practices

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Desired Skills

Experience programming 3-5 axis mills and mill turn machines for a variety of materials

Experience with Siemens NX and Vericut software

Ability to design fixturing/workholding solutions

Experience evaluating new designs and working with engineering to improve part machinability.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $89100.00 - $165500.00

For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
