Program Manager

Serenity Mesa Recovery Center is an adolescent sober living and recovery center in Albuquerque, NM, owned and directed by Healing Addiction in our Community (HAC), a non-profit corporation in New Mexico. Serenity Mesa also has a housing component, which includes a shared house and scattered apartments.This position is for the shared site known as “The Village.”

The Program Manager’s primary job is to develop and maintain a positive, healthy relationship with the staff and residents to ensure the overall safety and security of the property. This position manages and provides direction to the housing support specialists. Its primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of the residents, staff, and The Village property by following the policies and procedures established.

Essential Job Functions Hire, train, and supervise The Village staff, including staff schedules, communication, PTO requests, time sheets, and daily operations of the program.

Ensure that employees are completing shift notes and that EMR is being notated accurately.

Oversee the safe storage of medications.

Schedule and perform life skills classes and assign classes to appropriate staff.

Supervise and help facilitate bi-weekly house meetings with the residents. This is a youth-led group per funding requirements.

Document weekly check-ins with staff per funding requirements.

Ensure staff follow theorganization’s policies and procedures.

Ensure completion of all daily staff paperwork, which includes monitoring chore charts and perimeter checks.

Modeling appropriate behaviors for our staff with residents regarding cooking, cleaning, maintenance of the property, yard work, running errands, taking residents on field trips, grocery shopping, etc.

Other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities and Programming.

Staff training to include: EMR – appropriate documentation.

Teams – communication shift notes, reporting observable behaviors.

Assist with medication delivery program.

Maintaining healthy boundaries in a therapeutic environment.

Ensure security and safety of clients, staff, and visitors of The Village community.

Ensure maintenance work orders are completed.

Ensure understanding of daily paperwork, including daily logs of perimeter checks, room checks, and sign-in/sign-out sheets.

Work directly with clinical staff to coordinate resident care.

Answering phones and emails when needed.

Provide transportation to residents when needed.

Cover additional shifts and provide coverage for other positions when necessary.

Engage in the CYFD TLYA meetings.

Be able to assist in crises.

Essential Requirements (Education, Licensing, Experience) BA Degree experience will replace education requirements.

Minimum 1 year working with at-risk populations, preferably adolescents and young adults.

Experience in Management or managing a transitional living, group home, or similar environment desired.

Excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability to change.

Ability to pass drug screening and all background checks and driving record checks.

Fluent in verbal and written communication in English.

Working knowledge of computer Microsoft programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams

Desires to work with the addicted community and fulfill the company's mission.

Consistently adheres to the company attendance and leave policy.

Demonstrates personal responsibility and respect for residents, resident’s families and co-workers

Essential Physical Abilities Stand and sit for extended periods of time; push, pull, and reach; occasionally bend, stand, stoop, and stretch

For overnight shifts, theability to stay awake during all hours of the night while on shift.

Have afull range of body motion

Have the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity needed to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and medical equipment.

Have normal range site setting for tenants. The position requires the ability to work under pressure and with a diverse population, as well as other members of the public, regularly. The position may occasionally cause exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, and other conditions common to a shared environment.
