Description

Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-orientedPart-Time Temporary Office Assistant to support our Accounting Department in administrative and records management projects. This position is responsible for scanning and archiving documents, shredding outdated records, organizing office files and supplies, and assisting with general office tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and able to work independently while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

Employment Type

  • Part-Time (Approximately 25 hours per week)
  • Temporary Position (3 months)

Key Responsibilities

  • Scan paper documents and records for electronic archiving using high-speed scanning equipment.
  • Verify scanned documents for accuracy, completeness, and image quality.
  • Organize and index digital files according to established filing procedures.
  • Identify and prepare outdated records for secure destruction.
  • Operate high-speed shredding equipment and ensure confidential documents are handled appropriately.
  • Sort, file, and organize office records, supplies, and storage areas.
  • Assist with records retention and document management projects.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Perform other clerical and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous office, clerical, administrative, or records management experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry boxes of documents weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks related to filing, scanning, and document handling.
