Position Summary

Claro's Italian Markets is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Full-Time Retail Associate to support operations within the Deli and Grocery Departments . This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Schedule Requirements

Full-time position (approximately 40 hours per week)

Availability required for weekends and holidays

Flexible scheduling based on business needs

Compensation

$17.00 – $20.00 per hour , depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Provide courteous, professional, and efficient customer service

Assist customers with product selection, recommendations, and inquiries

Operate point-of-sale (POS) system and handle transactions accurately

Prepare and serve deli items in accordance with food safety standards

Stock shelves and maintain organized, visually appealing displays

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation across work areas

Support overall store operations and collaborate with team members

Qualifications

Previous retail, grocery, or deli experience preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Basic math and cash handling skills

Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Interest in Italian foods and specialty products is a plus

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods

Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds

Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as slicing, stocking, and scanning
