The global team also plays a critical role as the primary collaboration point for Product & Technology with Disney's EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regional business teams.Job Summary:In this role, you will work within the Front-end Web and Experience team and will be primarily responsible for building out various tools to empower workflows and reporting on the digital supply chain. You'll also be a critical developer building shared libraries and services to empower all the Content Platforms engineering teams. Lastly, you'll build out enhanced AI capabilities to accelerate the development process, taking products faster from ideation and POC phase to quality production level software.Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:Creating and maintaining shared JavaScript libraries and UI components. Driving efficiency at scale for front-end developmentImplementing business logic of various tool workflows.Reviewing others JavaScript and TypeScript code.Acting as a tech leader for various projects and initiatives.Employ test driven development and agile development practices.Partnering with product and program partners for deliveryUnderstand performance and scalability of various systemsProvide technical support for outages and incidentsOther duties as needed to achieve business objectivesRequired Education, Experience/Skills/Training:Basic QualificationsMastery of HTTP server and proxy technologies such as HA Proxy, NGINX, ApacheMastery of ReactJSExtensive experience with NodeJS, and/or Java/Kotlin programming.Extensive experience with cloud native technologies such as AWS EC2, Fargate, and Cloudfront.Experience with frontend web development technologies and principlesExperience with task automationAbility to research, learn, assess, and evangelize new technologiesStrong communication skills and attention to detailDriven and self-motivatedAdditional desired qualificationsPrevious work experience in media distributionExperience building AI driven softwareExperience working with vendor teams to deliver high quality resultsKnowledge of performance testing and application profilingExperience with React NativeEducation: BS Computer Science or related technical discipline or its equivalent.Experience: Minimum 5 experience years in web development or software engineering#TECHATDISNEYThe hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $141,900 - $190,300 and for Bristol, CT is $141,900 - $190,300. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
