Network ArchitectKey Responsibilities:Review and analyze existing network architecture.Provide designs for current and future WAN/MAN/LAN technologies.Recommend best practices like SDN, intent-based networking, and network segmentation protocols.Design telecommunications circuit specifications.Identify requirements for routers, switches, and encryption devices.Deliver service catalog items for auto-provisioning network configurations as Infrastructure-as-Code.Develop and maintain network architecture specifications and artifacts.Provide detailed schematics for network architecture.Conduct cost/benefit analysis for hardware/software selection.Monitor network hardware operations for proper configurations.Plan enhancements and upgrades to the network.Advise users on hardware requirements.Maintain expertise in routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, and gateways.Evaluate and report on new communications technologies.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.Active TS/SCI clearance.5+ years of Cisco experience with expertise in routers, switches, firewalls, and unified communications equipment.5+ years of experience in VMware environments.5+ years of experience in virtual and physical IP and Fiber Channel networks and routing protocols.5+ years of experience designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting LAN, WAN, and low-bandwidth networks protected by network encryptors.Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF), DODAF 2.0 standards, and Change Management Processes.Experience designing VMware NSX environments using SDN principles.Experience with network management solutions based on NetFlow and SNMP.Information Assurance Certifications consistent with 8570 IAT Level III.Current ITIL Foundation certification.Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) AND VMware VCP-NV certifications, OR combination of CCIE (Enterprise/Service Provider/Data Center) with relevant virtualization/cloud certifications.One of: Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise SD-WAN Implementation, Cisco Certified DevNet Expert, or VMware VCAO-NV.One of: Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate or AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty (current/active).Native or bilingual English proficiency.Desired Qualifications:Master's/MA degree (counts as 2 years experience).PhD (counts as 2 years experience).10+ years of Cisco experience.5+ years of VMware experience with virtual/physical IP/Fiber Channel networks and routing protocols.Knowledge of DISN or CANES.
