Data Engineer

Data EngineerOnsite required 2 days every other week in the nearest Verizon location. Preferred locations will be Florida, Virginia, Texas but other locations can be considered too if we find a suitable candidate outside of these location.Job DutiesCandidate will be responsible for building end to end data pipelines and data harmonization components to enable insight generation for executive and channels to take proactive action on time.Design, develop, and implement software based on requirements.Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the support team for code deployment.Collaborate with team members to follow process, procedures, and data security.Knowledge on Jenkins, Jira, Git etc.Diligently teaming with the infrastructure, network, database, application and business intelligence teams to guarantee high data quality and availability.Must Have Skills7 Years hands of experience on Big Data Utilities, must have extensive knowledge Bigdata TechnologyMinimum 5 years on Linux or Unix developing process & shell scripts. Experience in UNIX is a must.Minimum 7 years on DML Operation & SQLHands on with Teradata, SQL Server and SQL (Structured Query Language).General operational expertise such as good troubleshooting skills, understanding of systems capacity, bottlenecks, data anomalies.Experience in Design and build of the infrastructure for data extraction, preparation, and loading of data from a variety of sources using technology such as Non -SQL and Big data.Experience in Building data and analytics tools that will offer deeper insight into the pipeline, allowing for critical discoveries surrounding key performance indicators and customer activityMust be agile for greater efficiency across all of our company data systems.Experience in Analyzing large amounts of information to discover trends and patternsAble to work under minimal supervision. High energy, results driven person with strong interpersonal skillsBachelor/Masters degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related fieldSkilled in core data structures and algorithms and implements them using appropriate chosen languageThe ability to analyze, model and interpret data.Problem-solving skills.A methodical and logical approach.The ability to plan work and meet deadlinesAccuracy and attention to detailEducation/Certifications: B.S.
