Job Description

Technology Architect We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Architect with strong expertise in Java Webservices backend development and Big Data technologies. The ideal candidate will design and implement scalable, high-performance analytics solutions, leveraging cloud services and modern big data frameworks. The candidate should have hands-on experience in backend development, big data pipelines, distributed computing, and cloud platforms and be capable of driving architecture, design, and implementation decisions for complex enterprise analytics projects.

Must-Have Skills (Top 3)

Java Webservices backend development with strong hands-on experience.

Big Data ecosystem expertise: Hadoop, MapReduce, Apache Pig, Apache Oozie, Apache Hive, Apache Spark, SQL, Scala, Kala, Python, Java, and Shell scripting.

Cloud platforms experience: GCP and AWS, with exposure to cloud-native services for analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the technical architecture and design of analytics solutions.

Design scalable, distributed, and high-performance Big Data pipelines.

Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and technologies for analytics and backend systems.

Development & Implementation

Develop and maintain Java Webservices backend components.

Implement and optimize Big Data workflows using Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, Pig, Hive, and Oozie.

Write efficient SQL, Python, and Scala scripts for data processing and analytics tasks.

Ensure best practices in software engineering, coding standards, and design patterns.

Cloud & Infrastructure

Deploy and manage solutions on cloud platforms (GCP, AWS).

Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD, containerization, and cloud infrastructure setup.

Mentorship & Leadership

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and data engineers.

Drive design discussions, code reviews, and architecture evaluations.

Assist in technical decision-making and implementation planning.

Continuous Learning

Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in Big Data, cloud, and backend development.

Quickly learn new technologies and tools to support project requirements.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of experience as a Java Webservices backend developer.

Strong expertise in Big Data technologies: Hadoop, MapReduce, Apache Pig, Apache Oozie, Apache Hive, Apache Spark, SQL, Scala, Kala, Python, Java, and Shell scripting.

Strong hands-on experience in Spring framework.

Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS).

Strong software engineering fundamentals and coding best practices.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver high-quality solutions in a complex environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in analytics solutions, data modeling, and ETL pipelines.

Knowledge of data governance, security, and performance optimization in Big Data environments.

Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
