Strategic Project Lead (Software Engineering)

Job Requirements

Program Leadership: Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs in software engineering, technical program management, consulting, startups, or operations.

Technical Skills: Ability to read/review code and understand testing in languages such as Python, TypeScript, Java, or Go.

Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with experience identifying bottlenecks, defining metrics, and improving operational performance.

Team Management: Experience managing distributed teams, contributor networks, or large-scale technical operations.

Communication: Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate risks and manage expectations.

Availability: Minimum 40 hours/week, with 4 hours of overlap with PST.

Job Responsibilities

Program Management: Own delivery across timelines, quality, throughput, performance, and cost.

Workflow Optimization: Design and improve workflows for coding datasets, AI agents, benchmarks, and evaluations.

Team Leadership: Manage distributed engineering contributors and build effective reviewer/team-lead structures.

Quality & Analytics: Monitor quality, identify systematic issues, and improve production processes.

Technical Review: Assess code, tests, task specifications, and technical outputs.

Client Management: Act as a primary customer contact and communicate progress, risks, and recovery plans.

Reporting & Automation: Use tools such as Python or SQL for quality analysis, reporting, and operational improvements. Role & responsibilities
