Job Description

Genesco Sports Enterprises is looking for an energetic, self‑motivated individual to join the Charlotte‑based GSE team. The Trainee will develop and execute client programs leveraging hospitality and activation assets from their sports partnerships to drive business objectives. This role will support the account team and client by hosting luxury suites, coordinating on‑site activations, and contributing to the strategic planning of key initiatives. The Trainee will have full support from the internal GSE teams to deliver excellence in service to the client.

Responsibilities

Assist in the planning and execution of 80+ hospitality and activation events annually

Provide white‑glove service to internal and external client guests

Develop and troubleshoot detailed event documentation (Know Before You Go guides, on‑site directions, FAQs, travel requirements, schedule, etc.)

Create and deliver post‑event recaps tailored for executive‑level audiences

Serve as an on‑site manager and in‑venue resource at key events

Research and coordinate hotel accommodations and transportation logistics as needed

Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to quote, source, and order activation and premium items

Organize and maintain inventory of assets at the storage facility

Maintain strict adherence to budget guidelines and financial procedures

Perform additional administrative and organizational tasks as assigned

Requirements

0–1 years of related work experience or relevant internship experience

Experience in the sports and entertainment or hospitality industry preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment

Must be flexible with work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Willingness to travel up to 10% for events and activations

Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods

Ideal candidate is highly professional, able to communicate effectively with clients and partners, open to new ideas, forward‑thinking, and thrives in a high‑performance, team‑oriented environment

Compensation & Schedule

$10/hour – 40 hours per week

December 2025 – July 2026
