Are you ready to build the backbone of California’s infrastructure?
For a complete understanding of this opportunity, and what will be required to be a successful applicant, read on.
At Belco, we don’t just manage projects; we execute them with technical integrity and a commitment to safety. We are looking for a Project Engineer who is tired of just pushing paper and is ready to take ownership of project lifecycles and field operations. You will serve as a critical technical liaison to drive execution, optimize production tracking, and accelerate your growth into project management.
If you are a detail-oriented professional with a "technical curiosity" for how things are built and the organizational grit to manage complex documentation, we want to talk to you.
Key Responsibilities
You will support Project Managers in the end-to-end execution of projects, ensuring that engineering designs translate perfectly into real-world results.
Technical Coordination: Serve as the bridge between engineering, field teams, and subcontractors.
Project Controls: Own the RFI, submittal, and change order process—keeping the project moving without a hitch.
Procurement & Planning: Assist with sourcing product data, reviewing contractor bids, and defining technical requirements.
Cost Tracking: Analyze cost trends and production reports (PTT) to help keep projects profitable and on schedule.
Safety & Compliance: Conduct monthly safety audits and ensure every site meets our high standards.
Requirements
Experience: 1–3 years of engineering or technical support experience within construction or infrastructure.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a big plus
Tech Stack: Proficiency in MS Office and Bluebeam (Adobe Acrobat). Familiarity with AutoCAD , MS Project , or Viewpoint is a major plus.
Communication: You can talk shop with Superintendents in the field and present clear technical updates to PMs and leadership.
Mobility: While based in Chino, you’re ready for occasional field visits to monitor progress and conduct audits.
Why Join Us?
Growth: We value "Technical Curiosity" and provide the environment for you to deepen your understanding of construction processes.
Stability: This is a permanent, full-time role with a structured annual performance and salary review schedule.
Collaboration: You’ll work in a high-accountability environment where your contribution directly impacts the bottom line
Benefits : Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage; 401K matching to invest in your future; Paid Time Off to recharge and maintain work-life balance; Life Insurance... and more
