Maintenance Assistant – Full-TimeBakersfield Post Acute Pay Range: $18.00–$18.25 per hour, based on experienceBakersfield Post Acute is seeking a reliable and hardworking Full-Time Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The Maintenance Assistant will help ensure our facility remains safe, functional, clean, and comfortable for residents, employees, and visitors.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facilityPerform basic plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and equipment repairsComplete assigned preventive maintenance tasks and work ordersInspect resident rooms, common areas, offices, and exterior areas for maintenance concernsAssist with maintaining heating, cooling, lighting, and other facility systemsRespond promptly to maintenance requests and safety concernsEnsure tools, equipment, storage rooms, and work areas remain clean and organizedHelp maintain the facility's grounds and exterior areasAssist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as neededFollow proper safety procedures when using tools, chemicals, and equipmentReport damaged equipment, potential hazards, and major repair needs to the Maintenance DirectorMaintain accurate maintenance logs and records as assignedFollow all facility policies and applicable state and federal regulationsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious maintenance experience preferredHealthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care experience is a plusBasic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairsAbility to safely use hand and power toolsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to lift, move, and carry equipment and suppliesDependable, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a teamWillingness to participate in an on-call rotation if requiredBenefitsCompetitive payMedical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance401(k)Paid time offTraining and growth opportunitiesSupportive leadership and a great team environmentRewarding work that helps maintain a safe and comfortable home for our residentsJob Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00–$18.25 per hour, based on experienceBakersfield Post Acute is an Equal Opportunity Employer.We are an equal opportunity employer.
