Civil Engineering Project Manager

Job Description

Civil Engineering Project Manager in Pittsburgh, PA

You must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. No C2C or 3rd parties, please.

Base salary range: $135,000.00 + BOE + Benefits + Paid Holidays + PTO

Lead design engineering projects from concept through completion. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a client-facing leadership position and enjoys driving projects forward while mentoring teams and maintaining high-quality standards.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary design teams across engineering projects
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships
  • Develop, manage, and forecast project budgets and schedules
  • Coordinate internal teams, subconsultants, and external stakeholders
  • Oversee technical deliverables, ensuring quality and adherence to QA procedures
  • Lead meetings, presentations, and proposal development efforts
  • Review and approve invoices, design changes, and project documentation
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and team development

What you bring:

  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • PE license required
  • 8+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Strong background in highway and/or structural design
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills
  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and proposal development
