This position focuses on observation, reporting, customer service, and proactive foot patrols. Officers are expected to maintain a professional presence, identify potential concerns before they become problems, and provide peace of mind through exceptional service.We do not use physical force against anyone. Our officers rely on communication, professionalism, de-escalation, and customer service skills to gain compliance whenever possible.Primary responsibilities include:Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols throughout the propertyObserve and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and policy violationsMonitor courtyards, parking areas, common areas, pools, offices, and other high-value areasRespond to resident concerns, disturbances, emergencies, and requests for assistanceMonitor access points and report unauthorized entry attemptsComplete detailed and accurate reports using company mobile technologyMaintain a professional and visible presence throughout the propertyCommunicate effectively with residents, guests, management, and emergency respondersProtect client property through proactive observation and reportingAssist with emergency response procedures as necessaryImmediately report incidents, hazards, maintenance concerns, and property damageSafeguard company equipment including radios, keys, access cards, and electronic devicesFollow all site-specific post orders and client instructionsSuccessful officers consistently:Arrive on time and prepared for every shiftMaintain professional appearance standardsDemonstrate excellent judgment and situational awarenessCommunicate clearly and professionallyDe-escalate situations calmly and respectfullyProduce accurate and timely reportsDeliver exceptional customer serviceFollow instructions and site procedures consistentlyRequired qualifications include:Current California BSIS Guard CardAt least 18 years of ageHigh School Diploma or GEDReliable transportationAbility to pass background screening and drug testingStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to lift and move up to 20 poundsAbility to complete required training modules within the first month of employmentPreferred qualifications include:Previous security experienceResidential community, hospitality, customer service, or public-facing experienceExperience writing incident reports and daily activity reportsStrong de-escalation and conflict resolution skillsSignal Security promotes from within whenever possible.
