Security Officer Colony Surf AOAO Waikiki - Honolulu, HI 96815
Overview Salary Range $20.00 - $20.00 Hourly
Description Position Overview: We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to join our team at a prestigious condominium building. The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors by patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance equipment and responding to emergencies as needed. Friendliness & excellent customer service are equally important duties for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Patrol the condominium premises regularly to ensure the safety and security of all residents, guests, and property.
Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to detect suspicious activities or disturbances.
Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire, medical incidents, or security threats, and take appropriate action as per established protocols.
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
Enforce condominium rules and regulations to ensure compliance by residents and visitors.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting residents and guests with inquiries and requests in a courteous and professional manner.
Collaborate effectively with property management, maintenance staff, and other security personnel to address security concerns and maintain a cohesive team environment.
Conduct regular inspections of security equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues to the appropriate authorities.
Qualifications Qualifications:
Proven experience as a security officer, preferably in a residential or condominium setting.
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
Excellent observation skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in verbal & written English.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with surveillance equipment and software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical fitness and ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hawaii Guard Card
Certification in CPR & First Aid.
Training in crisis management or emergency response procedures.
Knowledge of local laws and regulations related to security operations.
Working Conditions:
Shift work including evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
Exposure to outdoor weather conditions when patrolling.
