Operations Coordinator

Soccer Shots New Orleans | Full-Time

About Soccer Shots

Soccer Shots is a high-energy, character-focused youth soccer program designed for children ages 2–8. Our goal is simple: to positively impact children through soccer while creating a fun, safe, and memorable experience for every child and family.

Soccer Shots New Orleans serves children throughout the Greater New Orleans area through programs at parks, schools, and other community locations.

We are looking for an organized, energetic, and people-focused Operations Coordinator to join our team and help us deliver an exceptional experience for our families, coaches, and community partners.

The Role

The Operations Coordinator is a hybrid administrative and coaching position. This person will play an important role in keeping the day-to-day operations of Soccer Shots New Orleans running smoothly while also spending time in the field coaching Soccer Shots sessions.

This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys both behind-the-scenes organization and working directly with children and families. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing details, communicating with partners and customers, solving problems, and stepping onto the field to lead engaging soccer sessions.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Administration

Coordinate the day-to-day operations of Soccer Shots programs across the New Orleans area.

Assist with season scheduling, session logistics, and program coordination.

Communicate with school, park, and community partners to confirm program details and resolve operational issues.

Help ensure programs are properly staffed and prepared for each season.

Respond to parent and customer questions and provide excellent customer service.

Maintain accurate program, scheduling, and operational information in our systems.

Assist with enrollment tracking, program reporting, and other administrative tasks.

Support special events, promotional activities, and Soccer Shots community initiatives.

Identify operational problems and take ownership of finding practical solutions.

Work closely with the Executive Director, Director of Coaching, and other members of the administrative team.

Coaching Responsibilities

Regularly coach Soccer Shots sessions for children ages 2–8.

Lead fun, engaging, age-appropriate soccer activities while incorporating Soccer Shots' curriculum and character-development principles.

Create a positive, energetic, and inclusive environment for every child.

Arrive prepared and on time for sessions and complete required pre- and post-session responsibilities.

Build positive relationships with children, parents, school staff, and fellow coaches.

Serve as a role model for other coaches and help reinforce Soccer Shots coaching standards.

Be willing to step in and cover coaching sessions when needed.

Participate in ongoing coach training and professional development.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, energetic, and comfortable wearing multiple hats .

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working with children, youth sports, education, recreation, or a related field.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Excellent communication and customer-service skills.

The ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments.

A positive, solution-oriented attitude.

Comfort working independently while also being an effective team member.

A willingness to work both in an office/administrative environment and outdoors on soccer fields.

The ability to confidently lead groups of young children.

A genuine interest in helping children learn, grow, and have fun.

Soccer experience is a plus, but extensive soccer experience is not required.

We can teach you our curriculum and coaching methodology; we're looking for someone with the right attitude, energy, and commitment to our mission.

Schedule & Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a schedule that combines administrative/operational work with coaching.

Because our programs take place primarily during weekday afternoons and evenings, some early morning, afternoon, evening, and occasional weekend availability will be required.

The position involves both office/administrative work and working outdoors at parks and school locations throughout the Greater New Orleans area. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between program locations are required.

Why Join Soccer Shots?

Make a meaningful impact on young children and families in our community.

Work in a fun, active, and positive environment.

Develop leadership, communication, operations, and coaching skills.

Be part of a growing organization with opportunities for professional development.

Work alongside a team that values teamwork, accountability, and creating exceptional experiences for children and families.

Spend your workday doing something that gets you out from behind a desk and into the community.
