Job Description

Join a team that’s redefining mechanical innovation in the oil and gas sector. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer , you’ll lead the design, optimization, and validation of advanced mobile mechanical systems that power drilling, completions, well intervention, and field operations. This role blends hands‑on engineering with creative problem-solving—perfect for an engineer who thrives on turning complex challenges into reliable, high‑performance solutions.

This role is remote within the Houston metropolitan area , with up to 55% travel to customer and client sites.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Develop: Engineer mobile mechanical systems for oil and gas applications—hydraulic equipment, mobile lifting systems, and field-service machinery.

Optimize Performance: Enhance reliability and efficiency for high‑pressure, high‑load, and high‑cycle environments.

Model and Draw: Create detailed CAD models and drawings using Inventor (preferred), AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.

Prototype and Validate: Test and refine equipment to meet API, ASME, and internal quality standards.

Troubleshoot and Improve: Diagnose field issues, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement in system performance.

Collaborate and Lead: Work cross‑functionally with design, manufacturing, and field teams to deliver robust, field‑ready solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).

7+ years of experience in mechanical design for oil & gas or heavy industrial equipment.

Proficiency in CAD software (Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, power units, and mechanical assemblies.

Proven ability to manage projects from concept through deployment.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.
