Facilities Technician

Joby Facilities TechnicianWe are seeking an experienced Facilities Technician with a strong focus on HVAC systems to support daily operations and maintenance of our San Carlos site, as well as provide support at additional company locations as needed. This is a hands-on role for a skilled professional who can independently troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC and building systems in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs, VAVs, AHUs, exhaust systems, chillers, boilers, and split systemsTroubleshoot and repair HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issuesMonitor building systems to ensure efficiency, safety, and occupant comfortRespond to work orders and service requests in a timely mannerPerform general facilities maintenance (lighting, doors, ceilings, minor carpentry and plumbing)Maintain accurate records in the CMMS, including work orders and preventive maintenance logsCoordinate and oversee vendors and contractorsSupport inspections, audits, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirementsTravel to other company sites as needed to provide facilities and HVAC supportParticipate in an on-call rotation as requiredRequired4-6 years of experience as a Building Engineer, Facilities Engineer, or HVAC TechnicianStrong hands-on experience with commercial HVAC systemsValid driver's license with a clean driving record (required for travel between sites)Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systemsAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentationExperience using CMMS systemsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders, rooftops, and in confined spacesFlexibility to adjust schedule as needed, including occasional weekendsDesiredEPA Universal CertificationHVAC trade school or technical certificationExperience supporting commercial office, lab, or industrial facilitiesFamiliarity with BAS/BMS systems (Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, etc.)Additional HVAC or energy management certificationsAdditional InformationCompensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $37.00-$44.10/hr.
