Are you ready to move the world forward?Location: Valley, NE Facility (onsite)Position Summary: We're seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to design, develop, test, and support technology-based products including embedded control systems, user interfaces, and remote communication solutions. This role partners closely with product management and customers to drive new product development, technical design reviews, troubleshooting efforts, and engineering best practices.Key Responsibilities:Lead small-scale new product development projects from concept through validationDesign and troubleshoot embedded control, communications, and power systemsCreate and maintain technical documentation and design standardsParticipate in and provide input during technical design reviewsSupport customers and service teams with technical issue resolutionCollaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and field teamsOccasional travel up to 10%Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering5+ years of relevant electrical product development experienceExperience with control panel design, embedded systems, communications, and power circuitsStrong troubleshooting skills across analog, digital, and communication systemsExperience with PLM systems, preferably WindchillKnowledge of TCP/IP, USB, RS-232, RS-485, and Wi-Fi communicationsFamiliarity with engineering test equipment and electrical standards (UL, CE, NEC, IEC)Proven technical leadership and design review experienceStrong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skillsPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Electrical or Computer EngineeringExperience with Agile product developmentKnowledge of National Instruments hardware and LabVIEWExperience with irrigation equipment or related agricultural technologyBenefits:Valmont offers employees and their families a comprehensive Total Wellbeing benefit package to ensure their individual and family's overall wellness needs are met.
