Network Engineer

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of experience in Network Security, with a strong focus on firewall governance, operations, and remediation. \n- Hands-on experience managing and reviewing firewall rule bases (e.g., Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet). \n- Strong understanding of network security controls, firewall policies, rule lifecycle management, and access governance. \n- Experience supporting audit remediation activities, including evidence collection, documentation, issue tracking, and action-item closure. \n- Proven ability to perform firewall rule reviews, rule recertifications, cleanup initiatives, and rule-set optimization. \n- Experience analyzing firewall rules for compliance, security risks, and operational effectiveness. \n- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify remediation opportunities and drive them to completion. \n- Experience working with regulatory, audit, risk, and compliance teams to address findings and meet remediation deadlines. \n- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.\n- Strong organizational and time management skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication abilities.\n- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).\n- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana) is a plus3\n- Fluent in Spanish \n- Knowledge of automation, scripting, or AI-assisted security operations is highly desirable.
