Electrical Construction Project Executive

The Electrical Construction Project Executive provides strategic leadership and executive oversight across multiple large-scale electrical construction projects and key customer accounts. This operational leader is accountable for project execution, profitability, forecasting accuracy, risk management, client relationships, and leadership development. The role collaborates closely with Project Management, Operations, Field Leadership, Purchasing, VDC/BIM, Project Controls, QA/QC, Commissioning, and Executive Leadership to ensure successful delivery of complex industrial and mission-critical projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Responsibilities include providing executive oversight for multiple concurrent electrical construction projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and client expectations; reviewing and managing overall project financial performance, including forecasting, margins, billing, cash flow, and cost exposure, and driving corrective actions when needed; leading regular project review meetings and rigorously challenging cost-to-complete forecasts, recovery plans, and resource allocations; overseeing manpower planning and deployment across projects to meet schedule and productivity targets; directing procurement strategies, including long-lead equipment tracking, material logistics, and vendor coordination to support milestone execution; ensuring effective change order management, including pricing, negotiation, documentation, and integration into project budgets and schedules; leading claims management efforts and implementing robust risk management processes to mitigate operational and commercial risks; reviewing contracts and identifying key risk areas, ensuring appropriate strategies are in place to manage scope, schedule, and commercial obligations; supporting project pursuits by participating in interviews, major proposals, and preconstruction activities, helping to shape winning strategies and technical approaches; maintaining and growing executive-level relationships with owners, general contractors/construction managers, consultants, and trade partners; driving consistency in project management standards, operating procedures, and best practices across all assigned projects; mentoring and developing Project Managers and emerging leaders, providing guidance on technical, financial, and leadership aspects of project delivery; aligning field operations and project management teams to ensure coordinated execution, clear communication, and timely issue resolution; leveraging company resources including VDC/BIM, prefabrication, project controls, QA/QC, commissioning, purchasing, and safety programs to optimize project outcomes; promoting a safety-focused, collaborative, and growth-minded culture across project teams and stakeholders; and using construction ERP and financial systems, project controls software, scheduling tools, and collaboration platforms to monitor performance and support executive reporting.

Essential skills include minimum of 10+ years of electrical subcontractor construction or related MEP construction experience; proven experience leading large, complex construction projects with substantial electrical scopes; demonstrated success leading $30M$70M+ electrical scopes on industrial projects, ideally within data center or mission-critical environments; experience with reputable electrical subcontractors, with strong exposure to industrial power and, ideally, instrumentation and controls (I&C); previous experience in roles such as Project Manager, Project Executive, Operations Manager, or Construction Executive; strong financial acumen with expertise in forecasting, cost management, and multi-project financial oversight; hands-on experience with cost-to-complete forecasting and recovery planning; robust contract administration and construction risk management experience, including change order and claims management; proven track record in leading, mentoring, and developing project teams and future leaders; excellent leadership capabilities with strong negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills; experience in client relationship management and program management across multiple projects; proficiency using construction ERP/financial systems and project controls software; ability to work effectively with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project for scheduling and planning; experience using Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, and BIM/VDC coordination platforms; and comfort with executive reporting dashboards and data-driven performance management.

Additional skills and qualifications include mission-critical project delivery experience, particularly in environments requiring high reliability and uptime; data center construction experience, including complex electrical and power distribution systems; experience with semiconductor facilities and advanced manufacturing environments; pharmaceutical or biotech construction experience, including regulated and cleanroom settings; healthcare construction experience with complex building systems and stakeholder coordination; strong skills in electrical construction leadership and multi-project financial management; experience in change order and claims management within large industrial and mission-critical projects; experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, and other complex manufacturing project types; ability to build and sustain long-term relationships with owners, GCs/CMs, consultants, and trade partners; interest in contributing to a growth-minded, family-owned contractor environment known for safety, quality, and innovation; motivation to support and benefit from direct mentorship from experienced Project Managers and construction leaders; and desire to leverage a strong career advancement pathway into broader project and operational leadership roles.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morrisville, PA.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
