Database AdministratorLocation: Plano, TexasJob Type: ContractDuration: 12 MonthsSkills:10+ years of DBA experience with strong understanding of relational and NoSql databases.Experience architecting, supporting and implementing advanced, strategic database management systemContinuously evaluate & enhance the data models to improve performance and data integrityExpert in designing effective & scalable database solutions and data models for the business.Proficient in database tuning and distributed data replication.Strong knowledge of Database backup & Recovery practices adheres to organizational security standardsRoles and Responsibilities:Database administration, query optimization / Schema design and build, ownership of the database environment.• Participate in design sessions with fellow programmers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution.• Review designs and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply to Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps.• Document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/enhance software application modules.
