Job Description

Desktop Systems Specialist Primary responsibility: maintaining all desktops and laptops at BFC headquarters and remote locations. Daily tasks include responding to user needs to keep them productive, handling Service Desk tickets, moving equipment, installing hardware and software, troubleshooting issues, and completing tasks associated with small and large projects.

Responsibilities Use software distribution tools such as SCCM 2102.

Maintain knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, Office 365, HP and Xerox printers, HP and Dell desktops/laptops.

Diagnose and resolve end‑user desktop hardware and software issues.

Understand network infrastructure and topologies.

Manage workload to meet quality deliverables and deadlines.

Communicate assignment status to supervisor.

Notify supervisor of productivity impacting issues.

Follow established processes, procedures, standards, and toolsets.

Identify opportunities to improve conditions and processes.

Adhere to industry best practices and compliance for installation and customization.

Complete tasks for both large and small projects.

Communicate technical solutions to end‑user community.

Research new products that reduce man‑hours.

Assist with end‑user weekly moves.

Install software on Dell and HP desktops/laptops including Windows 10 operating systems and Office suites.

Support asset management and inventory updates.

Verify software compatibility with operating systems.

Show willingness to absorb new responsibilities.

Maintain a positive supportive attitude toward clients and co‑workers.

Physically attend the worksite 5 days a week, 8am–5pm.

Required Education and Experience Minimum 3 years of industry experience in Service Desk operations.

High School diploma or equivalent.

Microsoft certification relevant to the work area.

Basic knowledge of incident ticketing systems.

Preferred Education and Experience College degree in a related field.

Microsoft MTA or MCSA in Windows 10.
