This role is essential to strengthen our ability to manage patching and compliance holistically, while ensuring alignment with approved policies and procedures. The position operates horizontally across the EDAP Global markets Data Platform, supporting multiple environments

Strong expertise in:

We are seeking a highly experienced Red Hat Linux Administrator to support large-scale patching, upgrades, and operational management of a 1000 server Hadoop ecosystem running on RHEL 8.x and 9.x.

The role requires strong automation skills, hands-on troubleshooting expertise, and the ability to operate effectively in a high-availability enterprise environment

8 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration in enterprise environments.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.x / 9.x

OS patching, upgrades, and system hardening

Proficiency in automation and scripting:

Ansible

BladeLogic

Bash / Shell scripting

Experience managing large-scale environments (1000

servers preferred).

Strong experience with:

Linux builds and provisioning

Filesystem management (LVM, XFS, etc.)

Performance monitoring and tuning

Experience working in remote / distributed team environments.

Experience working on Big Data Technologies

Cloudera Admin / Dev Certification

Certification in Cloud, Docker-Container, OpenShift Technologies
