Senior Software EngineerPayPal, Inc. seeks Senior Software Engineer in Austin, TXJob Duties: Design, develop and deploy software data products and platform for PayPal. Own key software data pipeline components, services and offerings all the way from ideation to production deployment. Identify appropriate business requirements and help design large scale software solution architecture. Implement tasks within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), receiving structure and oversight from more experienced staff. Undertake software experimentation, automation, simulation and contribute to performance tuning, improvements and load testing. Collaborate with peers, manager, and project lead to gain understanding of tasks and review software solutions. Understand internal standards and processes and apply them to make technical decisions and adhere to standard procedures for software development. Participate in software code and design reviews. Partial telecommuting permitted from a commutable distance.Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.Special Skill Requirements:Experience in Java programming (2 years)Experience in SQL (e.g.. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:Primary Location | Pay Range:Austin, TX | Salary: $167,149.00-221,500.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
