Job Description:
Experienced Designer/Drafter that has minimum of 3-5 years experience in Solid Edge Computer Aided Design (CAD) (required).
Must be familiar with manipulating solid models and preparing 2-D drawings from models in the Solid Edge environment.
Must have experience and demonstrated skills in Configuration Management practices for technical models, drawings, and documents.
Temp team member will be creating, updating, and manipulating 3-D solid models and preparing formal engineering drawings using drawings templates under the guidance of a senior engineer.
Drawings will be created from a combination of 3-D solid models, existing drawings that need to be updated, physical on-hand parts, photographs, engineering sketches, and working prototype parts and assemblies, using a standard drawing template.
Typical parts will include mechanical parts, electrical cables and connectors, and outline-and-installation drawings for electrical circuit card assemblies.
Will require some knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and experience with mechanical, electric, electronic, and electro-mechanical parts and assemblies.
Mechanical Engineering background would be beneficial, but not required.
