Tempering Operator/Assembly Line

Job TitlePosition Overview This position is responsible for unloading Custom tempered glass at the Tempering unload. Proper glass handling techniques and minimal quality glass inspection a must. 4/10hr Shifts: Graveyard Monday - Thursday 5:45pm - 4:15am Pay: $20.00+$2.00 Shift DifferentialEssential Job FunctionsNear perfect attendanceRead/measure glass accurately with tape measureCheck glass quality and be able to identify basic glass defectsPlace glass in correct Customer positions into bungees, harps and squeeze racksShould be able to accurately reject glass from bungees and squeeze racksProperly close finished ordersMust be able to properly edge delete glass without causing Quality issuesRead and fill out proper unload paperwork (run list, packing maps)Should be able to set up customer orders properlyCommunicate with the Q.A and furnace operator in regards to quality or breakage issuesNever allow the line to get backed up with glassMust possess a high sense of urgencyNon-essential Job FunctionsHelp out unload packer when able depending on glass production requirementsHelp out with coating, maintenance and other work station operations if askedRequirementsThe ability to adhere to the company's policies, rules and regulations as set forth in the employee handbookMaintain and wear all required personal protective equipment and attend all safety meetingsThe physical demands of the job: lift 50 pounds, bend, squat, kneel, twist, stand for long periods of time, stretching, pulling and pushing
