The Accounting Intern will gain hands-on experience by supporting the Accounting Department with daily operations while learning fundamental accounting principles, office procedures, and professional workplace skills.

About the Role EveryMind is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our Accounting Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or emerging who wants to gain practical, hands‑on experience in accounting and nonprofit financial operations while contributing to an organization that makes a meaningful difference in the community.
What You Will Do Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
Assisting with data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.
Helping reconcile general ledger accounts and accounting records and researching discrepancies.
Supporting the preparation of financial reports, spreadsheets, and accounting schedules.
Assisting with month‑end and year‑end accounting activities.
Organizing and maintaining electronic and physical financial records.
Helping track payments, deposits, and other financial transactions.
Supporting audits and other accounting projects as needed.
Learning and following nonprofit accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Maintaining confidentiality and exercising professionalism when handling financial information.

Qualifications Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Interest in nonprofit accounting and finance
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with effective interpersonal abilities
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate options and propose solutions
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information
