Learning & Development Manager Role

As the Learning & Development Manager, you will infuse enthusiasm into everything you do, contributing to the Guest Experience by providing exceptional knowledge and service support for our world‑renowned hotels. Work authorization for the location is required.

Responsibilities

Onboard new employees through Embark and other core programs including Service Foundations, Introduction to Leadership Behaviours, NLO, GROW, and annual compliance requirements.

Develop and maintain an effective Designated Trainer program, provide training and coaching to new and existing Designated Trainers.

Coordinate and update Standards Training Manuals and related training checklists for new hires.

Partner with hotel management teams to identify performance gaps, advise on training solutions, and coach managers to deliver consistent learning.

Facilitate management development programs such as GROW, assist managers in writing development plans, and ensure each college recruit completes a structured program with learning objectives.

Manage all compliance and safety training in collaboration with People & Culture or relevant department heads.

Benchmark the learning function against Learning Success Levels, conduct Learning Needs Analyses, and create training plans aligned to property goals and budget cycles.

Design, produce, and deliver rapid learning solutions—both face‑to‑face and blended—to address performance gaps and management competencies.

Prepare and communicate training calendars, market learning initiatives, and evaluate training impact through measured results and behavioural change.

Create and manage an annual budget for all training programs and learning resources, and select external vendors for specialized training.

Pursue personal growth in training and learning, including certifications or expertise in a learning discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

A university degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a managerial capacity.

Experience in adult education or a similar environment.

Experience in hotel operations, preferably luxury hospitality or other service environments.

Experience managing across diverse cultures.

Salary: $114,500.00 - $118,000.00
